Okay, a review for all of those folks littering my Google Search referrals with things like "How to get to Citi Field from __________":
Mets-Willets Point is a station along the Port Washington Branch, just east of Woodside. To get to Mets-Willets Point from other LIRR destinations, follow these directions:
from Penn Station
Board any Port Washington Branch train (look for trains color-coded red on the destination signs going to either Great Neck or Port Washington). Mets-Willets Point will be the second stop.
from Port Washington Branch stations Port Washington through Flushing
Board any westbound Port Washington branch train (they leave every 30-60 minutes). All trains stop at Mets-Willets Point.
from Jamaica
Board a westbound train that is making a stop at Woodside (they will usually depart from tracks 1, 2, or 3; check the destination signs to be sure that your train is going to Woodside, not all trains stop there). At Woodside, wait on the middle platform for a eastbound train to either Great Neck or Port Washington. Mets-Willets Point will be the first stop.
from all other stations EAST of Jamaica
Board any train at your home station and travel to Jamaica. If your train is scheduled to stop at Woodside, stay on your train until Woodside Station. If your train is not scheduled to stop at Woodside, exit the train at Jamaica and wait on that platform until a train that is stopping at Woodside arrives. Once you reach Woodside, wait on the middle platform for a eastbound train to either Great Neck or Port Washington. Mets-Willets Point will be the first stop.
from Kew Gardens or Forest Hills
Board any westbound train to Penn Station and ride it all the way to Penn Station (most trians that stop at Kew Gardens or Forest Hills do not stop at Woodside). At Penn Station board any Port Washington Branch train (look for trains color-coded red on the destination signs going to either Great Neck or Port Washington). Mets-Willets Point will be the second stop.
from Long Island City or Hunterspoint Avenue
Board any eastbound train. At Jamaica, exit the train and use the overpasses to crossover to tracks 1, 2, or 3. Then board a westbound train that is making a stop at Woodside (check the destination signs to be sure that your train is going to Woodside, not all trains stop there). At Woodside, wait on the middle platform for a eastbound train to either Great Neck or Port Washington. Mets-Willets Point will be the first stop.
from Atlantic Terminal, Nostrand Avenue, or East New York
Board any eastbound train to that makes a stop at Jamaica. At Jamaica, exit the train and use the overpasses to crossover to tracks 1, 2, or 3. Please note: Mets-Willets Point is NOT ADA Accessible, passengers with mobility impairments who are traveling to see the Mets at Citi Field ballpark should travel to Woodside Station. At Woodside Station, which is ADA accessible, customers should transfer to a Flushing-bound #7 subway train to the Mets-Willets Point subway station, and then use the ramp to reach Roosevelt Avenue, across from Citi Field ballpark. To return to Woodside after the game, customers with mobility impairments would need to board the #7 subway and travel one stop east to its end point, the Flushing-Main Street Station. There, after a brief wait on the train, the subway will head west to Woodside. (This is necessary due to the location of the ramp, which will only permit access to the eastbound platform.)
